Physical effects of stress

The implications of excess stress factors on conservative and restorative orthodontistry.

All practitioners in oral health are aware of the correlations between poor gingivitic condition and patients reporting stress in their lives. This is a broad look, with UCL and the Eastman Hospital in particular, at what both the psychological and the physiological implications of stress are in the modern dentistry paradigm. As well as investigating tissue healing, this study includes the most comprehensive survey ever undertaken on the gum health of people affected by excess stress.
