Helping us help people affected by job-stress

Every day we work with people who, just weeks ago, were financially comfortable, had status - and thought that the current problems at work were easy to resolve and well within their capabilities.

Then, often due to circumstances completely out of their control, their world falls apart.

If no-one is there to help they frequently face the loss of their job and the breakdown of their family.  Then their home comes under threat.

When stress becomes excessive, confidence disappears.  Losing a job, or having relationship problems at home are hard enough to cope with when you’re at your best, but when you have entered a spiral of anxieties, these problems can become overwhelming and very soon an increasing overdraft becomes a measure of how bad things have grown.

Most of the people that we see have the smell of disaster rank in their nostrils.

We operate a system of payment for rehabilitation called the journet which assures that our treatment is delivered on an ability-to-pay basis – but we need more clinicians.

Where people are exhibiting serious trauma-related symptoms, the best programme of care needs the client to be with us close to when they fall asleep and when they wake up – and currently there is no dedicated facility where we can provide this – so we have to book hotels which, often, are far from ideal.

We receive no government help.

We have never failed to get someone coming to us for help back to work within 6 months.

Please help us to carry on this work by continuing to subsidise the help we provide, by training more clinicians and by renting or buying facilities where we can deliver the best care quickly and effectively.

You can donate to us in the usual way, by cheque, or on the Charities Aid Foundation web site where you can donate using your credit or debit Card after entering in the box marked ‘keywords’ ergology

If you are an individual and a UK tax-payer, then we can claim an extra 28p in the £1 through Gift Aid.

If you are a company, a donation to us is deductible from Corporation Tax.

If you don’t choose the anonymous option at the CAF site , we’ll be pleased to write to you and let you know how we are progressing with fighting the job-stress epidemic.

Thank you.

Please donate here using a credit or debit card.
